Suhuang cough capsule is the key variety of Beijing Haiyan Pharmaceutical Company. As the market sales continue to rise, the leaders of the company require that the normal supply of Suhuang cough capsule be guaranteed, and "guaranteed supply" be included in the assessment index. According to the calculation of 22 days of work per month and 24 hours of uninterrupted production per day, the number of Suhuang cough capsule products that the workshop can produce per month cannot meet the target capacity of 2020.


What to do? The team members conducted a stratified analysis of the production time of Suhuang cough capsule pelletizing process and found that the drying process accounted for 65% of the production time, much higher than the production time of other processes, so it is urgent to improve production efficiency.

The members of the "Pioneer" QC team analyzed the factors of excessively long drying time from six aspects of human-machine material method and confirmed the end factors affecting the low production efficiency of Suhuang cough capsule pelleting process one by one through on-site confirmation and experimental proof, and we came up with four main reasons. First, the design of the air distribution plate is unreasonable; Second, the screen specification is unreasonable; Third, the inlet wind speed is unreasonable; Fourth, the inlet air temperature is unreasonable.


Without affecting the normal production, the team reformed the original air distribution plate, and analyzed and summarized the effect of the technical transformation. In this process, the team members encountered many difficulties, such as: in the process of adjusting the gap between each grid plate, the team members constantly adjusted the Angle to adjust the air supply volume in the oven, but did not achieve the expected effect, and finally the team members decided to change the air distribution board into a single board round hole type, after the transformation, the operation is simple, the air volume will not change due to human reasons, and it has been tested by a third party organization. The heat is evenly distributed.


Regardless of fame and fortune, willing to contribute to the "vanguard"


"Pioneer" QC team members continue to try, with a tenacity, aggressive, hard work, continuous innovation, and finally shortened the Suhuang cough capsule granulation production time from 11.9 hours to 9 hours.


With the topic of "Improving the drying efficiency of Suhuang cough capsule", the QC team of "Vanguard" won the first prize and the Best publication award of the 41st National Pharmaceutical Industry Quality Management (QC) group results.
