In March 2019, after a series of project selection, information research, raw materials research and other work, the Institute of Drug research determined the imitation of S-capsule preparation. S-capsule is a COX-2 inhibitor, and its market share is relatively large. If the imitation is successful, it will reduce the burden of medical insurance and patients, and help the construction of healthy China.

After nearly three months of exploration, the existing production process still has defects such as particle properties and uneven content, which seriously affect the development process of S-capsule imitation. The Institute of Pharmaceutical Research has set up a research group, which must solve the problem of uneven content of S-capsules and improve the quality of products.

Put our heads together and fight together

Preparation research is affected by many factors such as materials and technological conditions, which requires the whole team to have excellent experience and professional knowledge level, and is not a one-man show that can be completed by one person.

In order to be able to comprehensively analyze the problems that may exist in the current S-capsule development stage, our team invited factory engineers, experienced on-site operators, and experts in preparation and analysis methods to brainstorm and discuss, and actively ask questions to professionals and express their views.

After intense discussion, the team sorted out a total of 11 reasons by means of causation diagram and other tools, and investigated all factors one by one through field tests, and finally identified 6 main reasons.

It is easier to overcome difficulties than to succeed

It's like having a lighthouse on a cruise ship. During the group's research, while accumulating and focusing for a long time, we should also solidly and rigorously solve various difficulties encountered in the process.

Scientific research is boring persistence, although everyone works together to trial and error, but progress is very slow. The team members were so anxious that they took the initiative to work overtime to conduct experiments and explore, meeting to discuss and explore the prescription during the day, and analyzing the data to find defects at night. During the period experienced loneliness, hardship, disappointment, but we never gave up, because once the choice, never look back, stick to the end!

It is good for a stone to become dull

Hard work pays off. After nearly 6 months of experiments, our team finally found out the best process parameters and improvement measures for S-capsule. After the effect check, our results exceeded the target! An important step has been taken for the imitation process of S-capsule.

The subject won the first prize and the best publication award at the 41 national pharmaceutical industry quality management (QC) group results presentation, showing the style of Beijing Haiyan and achieving today's "Yangzijiang" brand.
